Hi Friends! I am writing this while at work #rebel, sorry I’m a bit late, but hope you’re having a beautiful Tuesday and lets dive into all I’ve learning! This week I titled it Send Up because it’s a funny way to ask for prayer, like let’s send one up to Jesus!
Spiritually
Honestly, it was a rocky start. I was in Joshua Tree last Monday, and while it was absolutely gorgeous, there was definitely some funky spiritual stuff going on. Chloe and I were roommates for the weekend, which was great, but we both had really weird dreams and kept hearing this strange wind sound constantly. Stepping into some stores, I could feel a heaviness. I occasionally sense this in certain spaces and attribute it to spiritual things—usually in stores with "crystals and tarot cards."
It wasn’t a great feeling, but it was also a good reminder to exercise prayer! Whenever I feel that heaviness, I start praying, and it brings such a deep sense of peace because we already know who’s won! Still, it was a reminder that we’re constantly in battles we can’t always see. Safe to say, I won’t be visiting Joshua Tree again anytime soon. I am however itching to go to Yosemite soon!!!
If you do stop by, I recommend visiting the coffee shop Mas o Menos. They have this fun game where you try to get the ring on the loop (and I was surprisingly good at it)! I’m sad, though, because they had a photo booth in the back that I completely forgot about and didn’t take photos in. I LOVE PHOTO BOOTHS!
I also was incredibly ill this week, but felt so loved by everyone praying for me, which allowed me to have strength to go to HUME!!!
Friends, Hume is truly the magical place that everyone talks about and it was very nice to explore a space that is near and dear to so many of my closest friends.
I learned so many great things that I am still processing, but the point that resonates with me the most is the importance of loving God first and foremost. So often, we believe that loving others is also a way to love God, but it should be the other way around. Loving God well is how we learn to love others well. It's hard to truly love others if we are not loving God well.
As the Lord refines me to be a better friend, I see how this aligns with me falling more and more in love with Him. Reflecting on that, one of the hardest questions I’ve asked many of my closest friends is, “How can I be a better friend or love you better?” It’s scary to open up space for their answers, but it has also been so valuable. (I learned that I close doors loudly!)
I am so grateful for each of you on this silly little newsletter. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without you!
I also got to spend personal time with the Lord and was so grateful! Hearing his voice and gaining clarity was a nice little gift. I went in hoping he could provide some clarity, but was unsure when he would reveal.
I have other points too, but I have a few catch up calls scheduled for this week, so saving to share them then!
Mentally
Guys, I was so ill. I was sweating so much that my pants were wet ill. (Promise it wasn’t pee.) Despite all that, I think mentally I’m doing great!
I want to give a special shout out to Chloe. She let me sleep on her bed with my outside clothes. I think that’s true friendship. She helped me when I was sick and I really appreciate it! Vitamin C+ Prayers + tiger balm nursed me back to health.
I’ll take this time to now share about my other highlights of Hume!
I got to have my main character moment of being the bachelorette. It was very silly, and I enjoyed it however def think that the guys could have been better selected. Regardless I had a great time and really enjoyed it. I wish I was able to ask them more questions, but regardless I can confidently say my future husband was not one of those 3.
I also got my fastest Dutch Blitz ever!!! I love Dutch Blitz and was able to have my craving fulfilled!
I also have been able to see my favorite constellation a lot - the Big Dipper!
I want to take this moment to remember Ms. Vicki and all the hard work she has done to make chips! #IFYKYK! I was cackling so hard. Great car ride, for real! So many funny moments!
Another topic that came up in conversation this week was the idea of whether you are your best self around your friends. I am so grateful for those close to me because I have grown into my best self! I’ve been challenged and pushed to become a better version of myself, and I hope I’m doing the same for you. :) Praying for you guys this week!!!
Physically
no sugar is tough! I had a dream about a cupcake yesterday… it was so good.
See ya next week
With Love,
Faith

I AM ALSO READING THIS AT WORK HAHA #norulezzzz i'm waiting for this test to run and LEAPED to open substack when i saw the email notif on my watch
it's so interesting how attuned you are to spiritual warfare/heaviness, i've kind of always thought of that as "too charismatic for me" but i also know it's something you've had your whole life (like your insane dreams). the fact that chloe felt it too makes it even crazier
yosemite when omg we should do half dome
